Founded in 2009, MicroVentures has built a platform that gives start-ups and existing small businesses access to early-stage capital investment or micro investments. MicroVentures is one of the financial industries first organizations which merges peer-to-peer lending with the venture capital industry.
Startup companies apply to be listed and undergo due diligence. Accredited investors can then pool resources and invest in the startups for equity. MicroVentures also sets up funds to invest in the secondary market.
