Palantir sells a big data platform that enables huge entities–both private sector and government clients—to make use of the massive amounts of data they’ve collected, often spread amongst multiple unconnected databases, in ways they were never able to before. The applications are practically endless in an environment where businesses and governments of all sizes require analytics capabilities to manage the exponentially increasing amount of data the world is generating.
