Justin has over 20 years experience in the Internet industry. Justin holds a Bachelor of Business (Electronic Commerce), a Diploma in Financial Markets, a Graduate Certificate in Trade Marks Law and Practice from the University of Technology, Sydney, and a Global Executive MBA from INSEAD (with Distinction, Dean’s List). Nathan has worked in Shin Ryoku portfolio companies since 2008 initially as an employee, and later as a co-founder, research analyst and director. He has experience in a wide variety of industries ranging from online retail to cloud computing, e-health and social entrepreneurship. He holds a Bachelor of Arts (Psychology and Digital Culture) from Sydney University and a Master of Commerce (Business Strategy) from the University of New South Wales. Nathan is a seasoned traveller and has lived in Sydney, Shanghai, Bangkok and Kampala. Nathan’s exposure to both urban and rural poverty in developing regions was the catalyst of starting an e-health social enterprise in Uganda.
Marcel van de PolDirector
Marcel is a management consultant with extensive experience in optimising business models and strategies. Having lived and worked in Africa, Europe, South-East Asia and South America he is more than capable of understanding the impact culture plays in business. He holds a Masters in Law and an Executive MBA from INSEAD.
Marcel brings his expertise and enthusiasm to keep Shin Ryoku headed in the right direction to sustainability.
Yoko holds degrees from the Kanda University of International Studies, Japan, and the University of Technology, Sydney. Yoko has been a strong supporter of cultural exchange between Australia and Japan for 20 years, teaching both Japanese and English as well as acting as chaperone, advisor and committee member for international exchange programmes.
Max holds Masters Degrees in I.T. & Telecommunications and Adult Education, and certificates in MCSE, ITIL, Prince2 and Theology.
Max has experience in a number of large enterprises including CSC, Allianz, MMI, One.Tel, AAP, the Attorney General’s Department and News Corporation, as well as serving as a director of several of our portfolio companies.
Mieko has a background in system engineering in Japan and a keen awareness of the value of cultural exchange and social impact projects.
